HATID PAG-ASA SA PAG-BABASA

 This program is intended for the COVID 19 patients in hospitals and quarantine facilities. The aim is to provide reading materials to the patients while they are under isolation or confinement. The CPLRC delivers to the hospitals and quarantine facilities through their staff. The materials will be given for free and they can bring them at home 

  The Civil Service Examination is a mechanism of the Civil Service Commission to qualify people who want to serve the government. This is to ensure the basic skills, abilities and competencies are met by those who want to become civil servants.

Since 2019, the Cagayan Provincial Learning and Resource Center has been organizing free CSC reviews in partnership with Academic Institutions like the University Saint Louis. Since then, a number of participants from newly graduate, professionals and those working in the government have participated in the reviews conducted. 

  This project aims to collect library materials in whatever format which will be distributed to the identified municipal and barangay reading centers within the Province of Cagayan. The Cagayan Provincial Learning and Resource Center (CPLRC) will serve as the depository agency for the library materials. Further, the CPLRC shall endeavor to identify possible beneficiaries for the project. With this, the CPLRC and the identified municipal or barangay will be entering into a Memorandum of Agreement stipulating the terms and conditions required by the CPLRC to qualify as a beneficiary.

The CPLRC collaborated with other agencies, either government or non-government for possible donation of books and other materials for the project. Upon completion of the requirement, the CPLRC provides technical assistance, in coordination with the National Library of the Philippines by providing reading materials to the identified municipal libraries or barangay reading centers. During the inauguration of the library or barangay reading center, CPLRC invites all donors to witness the said activity and to acknowledge everyone’s effort for the establishment of the information center.

With this project, it is hoped that additional municipal libraries and barangay reading centers will be established within the Province of Cagayan. Professional librarians will be the ones who shall be managing the said libraries in order to make them functional.
